Rick Coonce passed away. He was drummer for The Grass Roots, a successful rock group that received heavy airplay on the radio from 1967 to 1972. His driving drum beats are popular even into the new millennium.
Bernard “St. Clair” Lee, former “Lost 45s” guest and founder of the Hues Corporation, best known for its 1974 hit “Rock the Boat,” was found dead Tuesday morning at age 66. The group formed in 1969.
