3/28/12 – Bobby Brown Arrested

Bobby Brown was charged Wednesday with three misdemeanor charges including drunken driving, two days after his afternoon arrest in suburban Los Angeles. Brown faces two DUI-related counts and another charge that he was driving on a suspended license. One of the counts alleged the R&B singer had a blood alcohol level of more than .08, which is the level at which is presumed to be driving under the influence.

2/29/12 – Branson, Missouri Tornado Strike

Officials in the resort city of Branson, Missouri, were relieved an EF2 tornado, which damaged some of its marquee musical theaters, struck before the prime tourist season began. They said Wednesday the town was still open for business, although tourists might have to change entertainment plans. "We are getting through it," Mayor Raeanne Presley said of the storm that moved through overnight Tuesday.

11/19/11 – Bonnie Pointer arrested

Authorities say singer Patricia "Bonnie" Pointer of the Pointer Sisters has been arrested for investigation of possessing rock cocaine. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says the 61-year-old singer was arrested Friday in South Los Angeles after the car she was riding in was pulled over for a mechanical malfunction. July 11, 2011–Rob Grill, Grass Roots leader

"Lost 45s" guest Rob Grill, lead singer, songwriter and bass player of the '60s rock group the Grass Roots passed away Monday morning, his wife Nancy said in a statement. He was 67. Grill was hospitalized earlier this month after suffering a fall in his home. He later had two strokes while in the hospital.
