Cher has revealed she is working on her unreleased memoir again after “totally chickening out”.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday to promote her latest album, Christmas, the Believe hitmaker shared minor details of her upcoming memoir.

When Jimmy asked about the release of the book, Cher appeared less than excited.

“Yeah,” she replied un-enthusiastically, to which Jimmy said, “This is exciting.”

“Uhhh,” the 77-year-old performer responded. “No, you know why? Because I just totally chickened out because I guess I was, I don’t know what I was, I was just totally chickening out.”

The Burlesque star added, “I didn’t put in some things that need to be in and they’re not comfortable, but they need to be in. So I have to go back and man up.”

“You got to do it,” Jimmy insisted, to which Cher half-heartedly replied, “Yeah.”

She continued of the memoir, “And also I’ve lived too long and done too much and so it’s like it should be the encyclopedia.”

Cher then noted that her memoir doesn’t yet have a title.

The I Got You Babe artist has not revealed when the book will be released.

Cher originally announced she was working on her autobiography in December 2018. At the time, she told her X/Twitter followers it would come out in 2020.
